Looking for ways to get involved in our community? There are plenty of ways to serve as Spring rolls around. The following are a list of some dates and contact info to help you be the hands and feet of Christ to our city.
Meet at the United Senior Services Parking lot at 7:45 for an opportunity to serve our city by sprucing up the downtown. Wear work cloths and plan on doing some possible walking. This event is being organized by Center City Assc and lunch will be provided if you RSVP by Wed April 17th. We would love to let them know how many are coming to register please call (937) 521-2025 or go to www.32trash.org
The Ymca is hosting a healthy kids day. During this time the Y will halt it's normal exercise routine and opporations to be open for special event for families and kids. Vendors will be present as well as activites and games for children. Soma has been invited to have a booth and volunteers are needed to help with general activites. Additionally we would love to hand out water as a way of saying thanks to all involved. If you are willing to help please email dave@discoversoma.org.
As the summer begins, so does the YMCA's summer camp programs. This year our house churches have an opportunity to serve by participating in a party for kids that celebrates summer at the Y. Each house church will be assigned a station and more information will be coming. Be sure to talk to your Hc leader. Don't have a Hc? Let us know you'd be willing to serve!
This year we are inviting you to celebrate Easter with us at the Springfield Family YMCA. Our gathering begins at 10:00 am!

There are only two chances to gather corporately this Christmas season. Two chances to corporately sing carols, worship Christ, & focus our hearts. Don't miss either:
We will not be gathering at the YMCA due to a swim meet that requires the entire building. Instead we will be gathering for a lite lunch & communion @ 2:30 pm.
The following is information about our communion.
In place of our morning worship we will be gathering for a time of communion as a church.
Our time consists of three sections. Each is elective to participate. We simply ask that if you participate you recognize that you claim to have a personal walk with Christ.
Foot washing: A time to remember what Christ did to serve us in cleansing us and a symbol of our willingness to serve one another through forgiveness.
What about kids?
Communion is not a somber time. It is one where we will celebrate together the kingdom of God and remember Jesus' death and resurrection. For this reason all ages are welcome.
The bonded lodge has rooms suitable for nursing mothers and a private place to change your child.

November 11th @ 3:00pm we will be gathering at the Bonham's farm for a hayride, pumpkin carving, cider, a bonfire and some food. It is a perfect opportunity to get to know others who are not in your Hc or simply connect with those you only have a minute or two to see on Sunday mornings.
